Despite the change of day it was yet another sell out for the retimed lunch meeting yesterday with guest speaker Christian May, CityAM Editor, who gave an interesting insight into his role as Editor of CityAM.

Our next event will be our lunchtime meeting on Tuesday 12 April, back at AXA and with guest speaker Kirsty Good, Sky News Business Editor.

This will be followed by our EU panel ‘The Power of Persuasion: Communications in the Stay/Leave Debate’ in the evening of 10 May hosted by Instinctif.

Details of both events are below – please make sure you book early to avoid disappointment – our list of speakers for the first half of the year are listed at the end, together with the summer party – a great networking event that is always very popular.

CIPR Corporate and Financial Group debate: ‘The Power of Persuasion: Communications in the Stay/Leave Debate’

10th May, 6 for 6:30pm, Instinctif Partners, 65 Gresham Street

It’s one of the most significant political decisions of our lifetime – but how good are communications by each side of the EU Referendum debate? How great is the influence of traditional vs social media in this very modern debate? How far can we trust the polls, given our experience with the UK General Election 2015?

Join us for our annual panel debate, chaired by Philip Coggan of The Economist. Panellists will include Deborah Mattinson (Britain Thinks) and Antony Hilton (Evening Standard).
